Mar + Jonah = The Geislers.

 Tuesday, Aug 9

Mar and Jonah's Wedding Day.

Their sealing was scheduled for 1pm, and Mar and I needed to be at the temple an hour before that. We drove to Shi's house so she could work her make-up magic.

I curled her hair, but Shi did the final look. I tell people all the time that styling is not my forte. Shilo did such a beautiful job - on such a beautiful subject.♥

Things went smoothly, and we made it to the temple on time.
The sealing was beautiful.

I'm sad that Nora and Brooks are hidden in this pic :-(

The day was HOT. Everyone stayed in the shade as much as possible when not needed for pictures.

After all the group photos, everyone left except for Mar, Jonah, Hailey (she was filming for the video), the photographers, and me. I followed them all around the temple grounds, spreading out the dress, and adjusting Mar's veil and hair. It was a hot and sweaty job, but I was happy to do it.

Behind the scenes.

Once the temple photos were done, I think Mar and Jonah went to grab some lunch before heading to the reception center for more pictures.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

So many people were helping to get ready for the reception.
Rachael and Lex put the dried flowers on the cake, and did a beautiful job.

Rebecca arranged flowers and help set up the front area.
(I definitely feel like a big girl next to her haha)

I got very few pictures of my sister Jill, who literally was the lifeline for the whole event.
She picked up the flowers from the florist, she came early to help set up tables and chairs, tablecloths and centerpieces, she set up the s'mores bar and the food bar. She pretty much did it all.
Thank you, dear sister ♥

While all that busy-ness was going on at Southworth Hall, the bridal party gathered for more pictures.

I can't thank EVERYONE enough who came, supported, and helped with the reception.
I love you all!

My one picture of Jill... working away. I love and appreciate her SO. MUCH.

Let's get this party started!

Mar's Mission President came. Love that.

Love these supportive ward members.

Mar sang the sweetest song to Jonah.
Forever Like That

I know someone recorded it... I will hunt it down.

Cutting the cake.

Bouquet toss.

Father/daughter dance.

First dance.

The dancing was the perfect end to the reception. Little Billy rocked it with the grands.

The send-off.

Mar told us later (much later) that she was actually feeling super sick at this point in the evening. She hid it well! She ended up throwing up after they left while they were changing cars. You always need a good story for your wedding day, right?

It was a beautiful day.
Definitely worth the all the effort.
So glad it's done ;-)
