Wow, it's been a crazy busy month+. Time for some catch up.
Let's go back to November.
We had the whole fam home for Thanksgiving.
Ahhhh. Best thing ever.
Everyone came in on Wednesday.
Other than Shilo's phone getting run over by 4 or 5 (or more) cars in the middle of a major intersection in Parker as she and Kody were assisting Bill with some errands that evening (it's a much longer story, but I won't bore you with the details), we had a great time catching up and showing everyone our new old house.
Everyone pitched in to help get dinner together on Thursday, which was awesome since my brain has been MIA lately. Was it my best (tastiest, meticulously planned, perfectly executed) Thanksgiving meal? Nope, not even close. But it was sufficient, and because we were all together, it was a most excellent holiday.
Shi and Kody whipped up the green bean casserole and the mashed potatoes.
Britt and Austin artistically assembled a couple of cheese trays.
My turkey was SO DRY. I'm blaming it on a new/different oven. No one complained, though. Thanks, my loves.
Robyn dropped off Cole and Kade. She and John had been invited to a friend's house for dinner, and she let the boys choose if they wanted to go with them or come to our house. I'm so glad they chose us!

Scarlett VOLUNTEERED to say the blessing on the food.
Evie was a bit under the weather, so she napped during dinner.
As you can tell, Mar really likes to load up her plate on special occasions such as this. Hah.

After dinner and dishes (endless dishes), a few of us went to Our Favorite Park (aka the MAC) to work off some of those food babies.
It was seriously the most beautiful weather imaginable for late November.

It was a lovely evening.
On Friday, a couple friends had a bridal shower for Shi.
Yes, that's right. On Black Friday.
I'll take a shower any day over staying up all night fighting crowds to find bargains that usually end up in the "you get what you pay for" category.
These two ladies are amazing. Thank you, Jeanne and Courtnee!
Jeanne also recruited the help of her lovely daughters and DIL. These girls rock, too.
It was so great that a couple of Shi's high school friends could make it to the shower.
Kody came towards the end of the shower to play a game and say sweet things about Lo.
Such cuties.
Evie was still not feeling well that day, but we thought getting out might help her get her mind off of how yucky she felt. Despite our efforts, she didn't crack a smile, but I think she still enjoyed the diversion.

Since I had done the incline the day previous, Britt and I watched the littles (in the heated car) while the others tackled the climb.
On Saturday we went to an early dinner at Red Robin,
then went to O'Brien Park in Parker to see the lights.

Afterwards we checked out Bill's new office across the street.
On Sunday morning, everyone headed back home.
It was awesome having everyone together.
Thanks, y'all for making the effort to come visit, despite broken phones, tight quarters, and a long L-O-N-G drive back to UT.

After the shower, we decided to head back to Our Favorite Park, since most of the fam had declined the invitation the night before. Unfortunately, the weather was not nearly as lovely. We still got in some good play time, though. Cold play time, but good.

We were sad that the second half of the trip home for the Andersons was less than pleasant, since it possibly reduces the frequency of future road trips to Gigi and Little Billy's house.
