I love to see the temple + our 34th Anniversary.

 For a period of time once temples reopened after the pandemic closure, we could only schedule a single appointment per temple at a time. I couldn't schedule another appointment until I had completed a previously scheduled appointment at any given temple. I only mention this because SOMEDAY I might not remember this little tidbit of info. One of the wonderful blessings of living in UT during this time is that we are so close to so many temples! I had decided to attend weekly if possible, and was able to schedule appointments at different temples. This was such a great experience.

March 12 (our 34th Anniversary) - Mt. Timpanogos Temple

We invited any of our family that could join us to come along for a sealing session.

I'm loving those beautiful blue skies!

(We may or may not have finished the day off at Apollo Burger, which was somewhat reminiscent of finishing off our wedding reception at Burger King 34 years earlier haha.)

On February 19th Bill and I started our service as Temple Ordinance Workers in the Mt. Timpanogos Temple on the Saturday 2nd shift (10am - 2pm). Our temple attendance as patrons has slowed a little since working each week. We have LOVED being able to serve in the temple, even though we are realizing the sacrifice of giving up most of our Saturdays. We are hoping to receive a more convenient shift once the Saratoga Springs Temple opens up.

We are excited to live so close and talk frequently about the convenience of being able to walk to the temple if needed. I can't wait!

Moving day at last.

Saturday, August 28

Bill had flown to CO so he and Tay could load up the U-Haul trucks and trailers on Saturday. We wanted to make sure we were out of the storage units by the end of the month. I stayed in UT - my best move ever {wink}. Those men (+ local friends + paid loaders) worked their hineys off. The favorite quote of the day, made by one of our paid loaders and shared with me by Tay, which we have used over and over since, was, 

"Hey Bill, you have a lot of sh*#%!" 

(Taylor replaced that last word with "shiz," so that's what we use when we reference this quote). I have had it confirmed to me over and over as I have unpacked and organized that this is a true statement.

 Sunday, August 29

Bill and Taylor each drove a U-Haul (the biggest truck they have) + a trailer north on I-25, across the plains of WY on I-80, down into the SL valley. They parked them at Bill's parents' home that evening.

Monday, August 30

Bill and I went to our closing that morning around 10am.

We were told that we couldn't move in until everything had cleared - around 4pm. Being the thrifty people we are, we wanted to get the U-Hauls back that evening so we wouldn't have to pay for another day. We had hired some unloaders, recruited help from family (Rob, Matt, and Kevin; Austin, Kody), and had a lot of members from our new ward there to help.

Everything was unloaded by 6:30pm.

Bill got the trucks and trailers back, then came home and assembled Mar's bed.

We, and all our shiz, were FINALLY in our own home together for the first time in 10.5 months. Bill and I slept on our mattress on the floor for another month while I painted our bed, but it felt so good to be IN.

Feels like home to me.

I didn't get one, since my AL pedi was still pretty good, but I was there. I neglected to snap any action pics of Britt and Shi, or even a final product pic, but I DID snap a pic of our after-pedi treat ;-)

Eagle Mountain parade with the Andersons

This was one of those good old fashioned small town parades with candy throwing - I love that. We found a single tree for shade, but the Andersons also came prepared with umbrella chairs.

I may or may not have tripped - and fell - in front of lots of peeps. Good news is that I did not sustain injuries or holes in my clothes with my fall :-)

Later that day I packed up my stuff and made my way to Shi and Kody's home for a stay. They so kindly took me to a local shaved ice place so I could get my fix ;-)

I'm not sure if CalB had tried shaved ice before...

Cal... it's JUST. SO. GOOD.

He must've liked it, because we snapped some darling pics of a very happy boy as we finished up.
