Mar's choir concert.
Mar transferred to Utah State after she and Jonah got married. She tried out for the Vocal Performance program and made it in! She also tried out for choir, and made it into the top choir - the USU Chamber Singers. This means we get to go to more choir concerts woot woot! Although we do have to make the lengthy drive to Logan to do so. It's worth it. It was so fun to attend a college choir concert - Bill and I agreed it was definitely a level up from high school :-)
In keeping with our usual choir concert tradition, we went out for a treat afterwards.
Culvers did not disappoint.

Bill's dream comes true.
Thanks to Matt (and Larkin), Bill had the opportunity to "work" a U of U game. And this one was a big one. (I will add deets after I get them from Bill haha.)
This is a fundraiser for Larkin's school color guard to work as ushers at football games. According to Bill, the work was easy, and he wasn't even needed for half the game, but then got to help sweep the field of revelers after the game was over (the U won!). This was a nationally broadcast game, and Bill and Matt were both momentarily on screen after the game.

A day with Jill, mi mama y papa.
My parents drove Jill out to my house - she had flown in, and had scheduled a hair appointment with me. We took the opportunity to go to lunch at Cafe Rio (which was yummy, thankfully - the Castle Rock Cafe Rio was not great, so I hadn't gone for a while). Then we tried out the newly-opened Dirty Dough. We purchased four cookies and took them home to cut up and try all the flavors. I'm not a huge cookie person, so could not give a fair review, but they were tasty. The cookie market is so saturated here in UT, I really don't know how they can be sustainable. But that's coming from someone who only enjoys them occasionally.
It was a lovely day, so we took a walk to the temple.
We were so lucky to find an open gate (the front door of the temple was open, too, but we didn't dare go peek in). We loved being able to look up close. I was a little anxious that someone would come and kick us out, but no one did.

So which is the front?)

Bunco night.
This was only the second time in my life I have played Bunco.
I had been invited several times since moving to UT, but either I already had something going on, or I had something more pressing come up. I had agreed to attend this one because 1) I didn't have anything going on, and 2) it was being hosted by my friend around the corner. It turned out to be a total bust, and has most likely ruined me for Bunco for the rest of my life. My friend was the only attendee from our neighborhood (and newly split-off ward from the rest of the attendees), and the other gals pretty much chatted about days gone by. I don't think anyone said more than a couple of words to me. It was WEIRD. I could go on about how our pre-split ward was huge, and the pre-existing neighborhood part of the ward was not super welcoming to all the newcomers from our neck of the woods, but it is all water under the bridge. But no more Bunco for me haha.
I made this fancy snack tray to take to the game night. I guess it wasn't Bunco-group-worthy because it was hardly touched.
It's fine. I'm fine, Everything's FINE.

We drove with the Lunds out to Grantsville, picked up dinner, and went to the Lawrence's home to eat and catch up. I love these people. Heather has been in treatment for breast cancer for a long time, so it was nice to finally be able to get together. This is not the finest picture, but it's such a good memory.

Movie night with Bill Bill.
Bill had free tickets through work connections, so we went.
I think I'm pretty much over DC and Marvel movies. It was entertaining, but I just can't follow all the intricate intertwined story lines. Bill still loves them, but he can remember details and I can't.
I can't say no to a free date night, though ;-)
